Much like repetition, using slabs to create a book matched surface creates a high drama focal point….art created by nature. Not only does it create a focal point it also allows for a more seamless look with less interruption.

By using different textures you can create layers and warmth in a space. For example you could use one material but mix it up by using that same material with different textures. Most people know that stone can be done in a polished and honed finish but did you know it can also come tumbled, leathered, scored/raked, split faced, sand blasted and many more. You can not only create texture with stone but wood, metal, glass and wallcoverings!
